Victory Court

These are some of the recent activities the residents of Victory Court have organised or participated in.

Dorothy and Nena presented a cheque for £200 to the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity at Moorgreen, West End, Southampton on Friday 21st April.

The money was raised from selling their handmade cards and crocheted Father Christmas brooches to family and friends.

Well done ladies!

Sir Tim Lawrence Popped into meet some of the former WRNS and other residents at their coffee morning in Victory Court.

Card Making at Victory

Nena and Dorothy make cards and sell them to raise money for charity. Muriel at the back kindly gave her time to teach them some new techniques.

Maggie’s Christmas Song

Maggie of Victory Court has written this song, which she has also put to music. We had a chance to listen to and enjoy it recently, so well done Maggie!

A Wonderful Day

Now the dawn is breaking
Children are awakening
Presents around the Christmas tree
What has Santa brought for me?

Jesus brought joy
The Wise men brought gifts
A wonderful day
That Started all this

All the family come for lunch
There’ll also be a glass of punch
Love, excitement and joy abound
It’s good to have your folks around

Jesus brought joy
The wise men brought gifts
A wonderful day
That started all this
