What to expect…
Design of Flats
All our flats are specifically designed for the over 60s. A Scheme Manger or Warden is normally in residence to provide background support to tenants. All flats are fitted with Alarm Systems for use in emergencies. If more help is required, the Scheme Manager enlists the support of relatives and friends, or the appropriate Social Services Department.
The flats are self-contained and comprise Lounge, Bedroom, Kitchen and Bathroom/Toilet. Floors are covered with tiles or cushion flooring. All are centrally heated and the systems vary from electric storage heaters, storage heaters with additional convector heaters, or radiators fed from a central boiler.
Kitchen – although the Association does not provide white goods, space is left for a cooker and fridge/freezer.
Bathroom – along with the toilet and hand basin there will also be either a bath, a bath with a shower over, or a shower cubicle.
All Courts have a comfortably furnished lounge, some have two, with an adjacent kitchen. The kitchen is fitted out with everything required for Social events from a mustard spoon to oven and fridge.
There is a Laundry Room with both washer and dryer.
Each Court has a hairdressing room with a visiting hairdresser. There is also a Guest room with en-suite facilities, currently charged at £8.00 per person per night.
Each Court has a landscaped garden and parking areas.
Each Court has a full programme of activities including, coffee mornings, bingo sessions, quiz nights, horse racing nights, fish and chip suppers, barbeques – weather permitting of course! And many more events!
