D-Day prosecco and cream tea at Sirius Court

Residents at Sirius Court organised an afternoon tea to mark D-Day and were also traeted to a talk about the D-Day events too including some memorabilia from Southwick House.

Prosecco, cream teas, and fresh strawberries were all in abundance so obviously we all had a great time!

Many thanks to everyone who helped organise the event.

Cornwell and Sirius’ Courts Chairman’s Lunch 2019

The Chairman’s lunch for Cornwell and Sirius Courts coincided with the 30th anniversary of Cornwell Court. The weather could have been a lot kinder but everyone had fun anyway and the sun did eventuall pop back out.

The wardens Julie and Ling and all their helpers worked hard to get everything ready and keep everyone happy on the day, and we had entertainment from the amazing Amy Baker.

Thanks to everyone involved.

Sirius and Cornwell’s Chairman’s Lunch

The Chairman’s lunch for Sirius and Cornwell Court coincided with the 20th anniversary of Sirius Cour’s opening in back 1998. We were lucky enough to have Sir Robert Fulton, who originally opened the court, come back to commemorate and celebrate the day with us all.

Wardens Ling and June worked hard to get everything ready and keep everyone happy on the day. We had perfect weather, a good turnout from both courts, and entertainment in the form of a ukelele band. We also had a raffle which managed to raise £105.50 that will go to SAAFA.

Thanks to everyone involved.

Sirius Court makes Valentine’s Gift

In the last few months, Sirius Court has raised a considerable sum for charity and it was decided that they would donate the money to a local service charity. The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children’s fund was chosen.

Clare Scherer the Fund Organiser was presented with the cheque on Wednesday 14 February, when the presentation was combined with a Valentine’s tea open to all residents.

Well done Sirius Court – a great effort and wonderful gesture.
